I hear you. I mean, it can be a cruel thing to live through a day where everyone is celebrating romance with candies, hearts and smooches with their sweetie. I know that for some of you out there, it makes you wanna puke. You look around at the whole thing and wonder, what am I supposed to feel, huh? I don’t have anyone making me a card and buying me flowers… Look, I know it hurts to feel alone, but know this: You aren’t unloved, and you’re not even really alone.

 

My friend, you have a secret, and it’s glorious: You have stolen the heart of the King of Kings and He is flat-out crazy about you! Yes, you! He chose you to be His very own before the creation of the world! He knows every day you’ll ever live and watches over you, never sleeping but protecting you, providing for you and singing over you with songs of joy. He gave His own blood and life for you out of His outrageous love because He would rather die than live without you and He was raised to new life so that He could spend eternity with you. He is enthralled with you! He loves you! Jesus simply can’t get over you and He has pledged His faithfulness to you for all of eternity.

 

I know you hate Valentine’s Day. That’s cool. But don’t forget the One who loves you more than any sappy greeting card could ever hope to say. Hold your head high, for you are loved and never alone.
