Got all preachy this morning during girl’s Bible study. It was great. I was just talking, and it wasn’t me. I mentioned that Psalm 45:10-11 says that the Father loves us, wildly. Then I started talking about the book of Hosea.
I read it through last night, and a verse stuck out to me. “…and went after her lovers, but forgot Me…” (I don’t remember the reference). I thought it spoke measures about our spiritual walk. We prostitute ourselves with the things of this world so often, that we forget our Savior. He stands with arms wide open, but we run off to the pleasures of this world, seeking the fleeting. Yet He forgave Israel and Gomer, and accepted them every time they came back to Him. How beautiful.
